Your new Fayetteville host!

Hi,

I'm Michelle Butzgy and I've been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. That means I have to eliminate wheat and gluten from my diet ... no easy feat in Fayetteville, N.C. I'd like to network with others who stay gluten free and report about where you can find gluten free food without breaking your piggy bank.
I was just diagnosed in March 2010 and have done a lot of reading and researching online. There is hope in Fayetteville. One of my goals is to start a support group in this city. I know there are people who follow the gluten-free diet in town, we just have to meet up and compare notes.
Also, the larger number we become, the more buying power we can show to stores around Fayetteville. I am grateful for what local store Apple Crate has to offer for the community but after traveling to Raleigh and Charlotte, I want more! I want beer! I want soup! I want doughnuts!
Join me on my journey to a healthier lifestyle (mandatory for some) and maybe we'll all learn something.

More to come!
Michelle

Was diagnosed with celiac several years ago and was VERY frustrated with lack of gluten free items - especially sweets like cakes and cookies - so.................www.glutenfreecakes.embarqspace.com
Been doing the cakes and cookies for a while now and seems to be a hit - plus I can eat sweets whenever I want now!!
